Bucks County Remembers Sept. 11

Bucks County Remembers paid tribute to those who lost their lives on 9/11/01 and in the wars since. The Bucks Countians were remembered by name.

Bucks County held its annual 9/11 remembrance on the lawn of the Courthouse on Tuesday morning, Sept. 11, 2012.

The event was attended by County workers and local emergency services personnel. Bucks County Commissioner Robert Loughery presided over the ceremony, which included the County Corrections Department's Honor Guard and Tom Roberts, of the Irish Thunder Band, playing Amazing Grace on bagpipes. The CB West Choir sang the National Anthem.

The invocation was delivered by Pastor Eugene Miller of the Living Hope Church. Moments of silence were observed at 8:46 and 9:03 a.m. in remembrance of the moments when the aircraft crashed into the World Trade Center towers in Manhattan on that fateful day.
