TMA Bucks Foundation Scholarship Funds Now Available

This is the sixth consecutive year TMA Bucks has offered scholarships.

The following is an announcement from TMA Bucks:

TMA Bucks (Transportation Management Association) recently announced that Bucks County high school seniors planning to pursue a course of post high school study in civil engineering, urban planning, transportation management or other related field can apply for scholarships from the TMA Bucks Foundation Scholarship Fund.

“The TMA Bucks Foundation is extremely excited to offer this opportunity once again to deserving high school students in Bucks County for the sixth consecutive year,” said TMA Bucks Foundation board president Michael Connor. “The foundation cannot think of a better way to give back to our community than to provide financial assistance for a young person’s education.”

Applications for the TMA Bucks Foundation Scholarship Fund are available online at tmabucks.comand through all high school guidance departments. Any graduating senior who is a resident of Bucks County is eligible to apply.

All completed applications must be received in the office of the TMA Bucks, Seven Neshaminy Interplex, Suite 103, Trevose, PA 19053 no later than 4:00 p.m. Friday May 2, 2014. Scholarship winners will be notified in writing on or before Thursday, May 22, 2014 and will be recognized at the TMA’s annual meeting this June.

These scholarships are one-time awards to be paid directly to the college or other accredited secondary school the winning students will attend beginning in the Fall of 2014.

The number and amount of scholarships varies each year depending upon how much is raised during the TMA’s annual golf outing. In addition, TMA Bucks awards one $2,000 Joseph DiGirolamo Scholarship each year, honoring the founding president of TMA Bucks.

This year’s golf outing along will be held May 14 at Torresdale Frankford Country Club. Information on the golf outing event is available at tmabucks.com or by calling 215-244-9082. Tax-deductible donations are also welcome.

The TMA Bucks Foundation is a registered 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. Donations to the fund may be sent in care of TMA Bucks Foundation, Seven Neshaminy Interplex, Suite 103, Trevose, PA 19053.
