Fred Beans Donates $50K to Bucks Summer Reading Program

The money will help fund the 2014 Bucks County Library Systems' Summer Reading Program, "Fizz Boom Read."

The Fred Beans Automotive Group has donated $50,000 to help fund the 2014 Bucks County Library Systems’ Summer Reading Program, “Fizz Boom Read," according to announcement on Doylestown Patch.

The donation was made through the state’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.

The last two years’ summer reading programs were also funded by $50,000 EITC grants from Fred Beans. More than 44,000 youth and adults attended the Bucks County Library system’s summer programs in 2013 at seven county branches and 11 township and community libraries.  

According to the announcement, Fred Beans has also pledged a second $50,000 grant to fund another year of summer reading programs in 2015.
