Ceremony Honors Bucks County War Dead

The traditional ceremony took place in the Doylestown Cemetery after the Memorial Day parade.

Hundreds of people gathered in Doylestown Cemetery Monday afternoon after the Memorial Day parade to honor the men and women of Bucks County who have died in service to their country.

Representatives of local veterans groups placed wreaths on memorials honoring the dead from past conflicts

Rich Scott, of the Doylestown VFW post 175, announced that the veterans' group has recently received permission from the Bucks County Commissioners to to erect a monument at the county courthouse in Doylestown to those who have died in the war on terrorism.
