T-Shirt Sale Launched for Disabled Local Veteran

A t-shirt sale has been launched for a local United States Marine veteran whose kitchen was destroyed by a leaking roof while she was deployed.

The community is rallying around a local United States Marine veteran whose kitchen was destroyed by a leaking roof while she was deployed.

SSgt Jessica Clymer, who was raised in Buckingham and now lives in Plumsteadville, is a disabled Marine veteran who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan.

While deployed, she said her house sustained substantial damage due to a leaking roof. Her kitchen has been gutted, but she does not have the money for repairs.

A t-shirt sale has been launched to raise money for the repairs. The Doylestown Post 175 VFW is also collecting money for Clymer.

“The damage to her kitchen was so severe that the room had to be completely gutted. Now it needs to be rebuilt but that will take a lot of money that she doesn’t have,” according to an announcement about the t-shirt sale.

As of Monday evening, 109 shirts have been sold.

The local VFW has also set up a fund to collect donations for Clymer. Checks can be made payable to Doylestown Post 175 VFW; write "for Jessica Clymer" on the memo line. Mail check to PO Box 1533, Doylestown PA 18901.

The post is a 501(c)(19) organization, so all donations are tax deductible.
