“Share the Love” Campaign Aims to Help Homeless Dogs

Lulu’s Rescue in Pennsylvania will host an adoption event this weekend where they will kick-off their Valentine’s Day inspired “Share the Love” fundraiser.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA – February 07, 2012 – Lulu’s Rescue, a volunteer, nonprofit animal rescue organization located in Bucks County, Pa., will host an adoption event this weekend, with support from the School of Rock in Doylestown, Pa. The event will be the start of their “Share the Love” fundraiser, a campaign to raise awareness and support for homeless dogs in search of loving, forever homes.

“We’re beginning our efforts this month at the School of Rock in Doylestown, Pa, where on Sunday, February 12, 2012 we will showcase 13 beautiful, healthy puppies and dogs who are available for adoption and looking to share their love,” said Lulu’s Rescue executive director Michele Armstrong. “The public is invited to come meet these furry little valentines from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. where we will also be kicking off our Valentine’s Day “Share the Love” promotion, which we plan to continue for the next few weeks.”

The “Share the Love” campaign aims to raise $5,000 in 30 days to help Lulu’s Rescue continue its mission of finding a home for every adoptable dog who needs one. So far, the 501(c)(3) charitable organization has saved almost 600 puppies and dogs through its volunteer-based system.

“We are simply asking people to give up a daily cup of coffee, a favorite takeout food, or any other personal indulgence for just 30 days. We are then asking people to take the money they save from that one small sacrifice and donate it to Lulu’s Rescue,” Armstrong said. “With that one act of love, that one small sacrifice for just 30 days, they can help save many, many more dogs’ lives. The more people willing to Share the Love, the more dog lives saved.”
