Eat to Beat Cancer at Local Restaurants

Eat at four local restaurants during special times in the coming weeks and you'll help Central Bucks reach its Coaches Vs. Cancer fundraising goal.

Central Bucks' annual Coaches vs. Cancer event is underway to raise money for the American Cancer Society. One component of fundraising is Eat to Beat Cancer events at local restaurants.

There are four remaining Eat to Beat Cancer fundraising events. If you eat at these local restaurants on the scheduled date, a portion of your check will be donated to fundraising for Coaches vs. Cancer.

Here's the schedule of upcoming Eat to Beat Cancer events:

  • Uno's Pizzeria in Warrington on Sunday, Jan. 26 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Voucher required, click here to download and print.
  • Panera Bread in Doylestown on Wednesday, Jan. 29 from 4 to 9 p.m,
  • Artistic Pizzeria in Doylestown on Friday, Jan. 31 from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
  • Candlewyck in Buckingham on Monday, Feb. 3 from 4 p.m. until close
This year, student organizers hope to raise $50,000 through a series of events. The main event is Saturday, Feb. 8 and will feature a three-on-three basketball tournament at Central Bucks East.

So far, more than $32,000 has been raised, according to the online donation page. In six years, the local Coaches vs. Cancer basketball effort has raised more than $250,000 to fight cancer.
