Wondering if your child is a future rock star or singer/songwriter? Perhaps they possess amazing singing talents — yet never had the opportunity to get up on stage and try them out.
Summer camps are a fantastic way to discover talents and passions. They provide ample opportunities for kids to try new things and make new friends, as well as give them a healthy break from television and electronics. At the Doylestown School of Rock summer camps, future rock stars can get a taste of performing in a band even if they’ve never touched an instrument or microphone.
In our 1 week camps, they learn to play songs as a band. They are going to get a great introduction to playing an instrument, not just one-on-one, but with others and actually putting songs together, having that fun social element, learning musical concepts in a fun way and building confidence.”
There are seven camps to choose from starting with Indie Rock (June 23rd – 27th), Led Zeppelin (July 7th – 11th), AC/DC (July 14th – 18th), Grunge (July 21st – 25th), Woodstock (July 28th – Aug. 1st), White Stripes vs Black Keys (Aug. 4th – 8th), and The Beatles (Aug. 11th – 15th).
At the end of every camp week the kids will put on a free show for the parents and the rest of the public and show off what they have learned through out the week. You will be amazed to see the transformation from maybe a shy or somewhat skeptical child who doesn’t think they would be able to play an instrument let alone get up on stage in front of people to a confident child rocking out on the guitar with a huge smile on their face.
