The Bucks County
Courier Times and Intelligencer newspapers, along with their charitable
partners, created the Give A Christmas program to give much needed financial
assistance to support struggling families in Bucks County. Together with the
Levittown-Bristol Kiwanis Club at the Courier Times and the Bucks County
Opportunity Council and Keystone Opportunity Center at the Intelligencer,
thousands receive help at the holidays.

How It Happened

Local
singer/songwriter and marketing consultant Amy Duckett Wagner inspired the
production when her title song, ‘Christmastime Has Come to Town’ sparked the
interest of  Lon Van Eaton. At
Imagine a Better World’s studio’s ‘John Lennon Creative Recording’
workshop, the idea for the CD project came together quickly. Van Eaton
explains:  “On a break from recording, a group of us were talking about
the needs in Bucks County and we had an ‘Aha’ moment. Let’s do what the song
says and take the spirit and pass it along. Wagner adds, “The song is about
taking the feeling and spirit of the holiday season and passing it along.”

Local Talent

Amy’s title track,
‘Christmastime Has Come to Town’ was sweetened by her brother Brian on mandolin
and local singers, Robyn Aheimer, Carol Brooks and Consti. Consti  also contributed her track ‘Kindness’
from her recently released CD ‘Love is All That Matters Here’. The New Johnny’s
Dance Band busts out with ‘Santa Claus is Back In Town’ and Chris Chadwick’s
brand new ‘Santa Claus Factor’ rocks. The team of Marianne Speiser, John Bray
and Dan Steadle have two gems on the CD,

‘Magic Melvin’ and
‘Play With the Stars’.

Lon says, “I found
songs from my productions about angels, love, forgiveness and the Christ story.
Lend an ear to ‘Guardian Angel’ by Alan Pedersen,  ‘Image of An Angel’ by Fred Wisnat,  ‘Jesus is Born’ by The Christ on the
Mountain Choir.”  He continues
‘Christmas Is Tomorrow Night’ is the only song I ever wrote with my Mom,
Antoinette, and it’s on the CD. I thought there were plenty of tracks but then
Mark Conklin of Music City East contributed ‘Christmas Love Song’ and Amy made
a remote recording of the FNJ New Hope After Midnight Singers doing a ‘Jingle
Bells/We Wish You a Merry Christmas’ medley.”

Imagine a Better World Productions’ mission
‘Media for Conscious Change speaks to the desire to help people through music and media. Everyone
that buys a CD will be helping local families with children who are in need
this holiday season. It’s a wonderful gift to enjoy quality music while
supporting the cause of struggling families in Bucks County. CDs are
