Larry Kane Book Signing: "When They Were Boys"

WHEN THEY WERE BOYS – THE TRUE STORY OF THE BEATLES RISE TO THE TOP

Almost unbelievable, but true – a 7 year march from the fantasy of teenage hope to a success, mocked by the elites, cheered by millions, and embellished for fifty iconic years.

Now, through the eyes and minds of people who were there, many of them left behind and forgotten in the fog of success, Larry Kane tells the graphic story of the rise from obscurity of the Beatles.

Kane, the only American reporter to travel in the Beatles official party to every stop on the 1964 and 1965 tours of America, digs deep to bring the story to life. Kane, author of Ticket To Ride, and New York Times Best Seller Lennon Revealed, both published by Running Press, describes it as “surprising, sometimes shocking story of the human spirit.”

Larry Kane, known as the dean of Philadelphia television news anchors, has been one of the market’s most respected broadcast journalists for more than 40 years, and has recently marked his 45th anniversary in broadcasting. Kane, current host of the Voice of Reason on CN 8, the Comcast Network ( 9:30 P.M Sunday nights) has had an active roster of professional pursuits since he left daily anchoring in 2003. Kane, who is the only anchor to work at all three network owned stations in the Philadelphia region, is a special contributor with commentary and analysis for KYW Newsradio, an occasional writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer, and serves as a broadcast consultant for Comcast CN 8, in addition to authoring three books in the last six years.
