The Kutz Elementary School in Doylestown announced that the “Kutz Jumping Beans”, the school’s dynamic new jump-rope team will be performing at the Coaches for Cancer fundraiser on February 9, 2013.
In its third season, the team has been roping in audience attention with their precision choreography and athleticism during half-time shows at local high school basketball games and charity events. The selected group of sixty students from the third to sixth grades is led by Kutz
teachers Jill Talarico, Christie Corcoran, Christie Patterson and Jen Abato.
“Jump-roping has always been known as a fun playground activity and also great training for speed, coordination, and stamina,” said Talarico. “But when these kids perform their routines set to music, it never fails to bring audiences to their feet.”
Kutz Principal Dr. Jeanann Kahley said, “The dedication and effort the student have put in really shows in their captivating demonstrations. We’re incredibly proud of what has been achieved in this new program.”
Upcoming performances for the Kutz Elementary Jumping Beans include the Central Bucks West boys’ basketball game at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5 and Delaware
Valley College girls’ basketball game at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6.
