The County Theater’s December 8th Family Movie Day is offering more to the community than a great Saturday morning family movie. The Doylestown theater is also extending free admission to families who bring a donation of nonperishable food, gift card, gas card or SEPTA tokens for Network of Victim Assistance’s 2012 Holiday Gift Program for Victims of Crime. (Minimum value of donation: $10 per family, please).
The County is showing children’s favorite flicks, both classics and new films, at 10:30am on Saturday mornings from November through April. This year, the theater’s annual charity-driven event on December 8 features a choice of either “Brave” or “The Princess Bride.” Family Fun activities to kick off the holiday season begin at 10:00am with face painting and a sing-a-long on the big screen.
To help crime victims in Bucks County create a happy holiday for themselves and their families, NOVA’s counseling department matches donors from the community with recipient families from among NOVA clients. All donations and proceeds from the movie event benefit NOVA Bucks.
