(Dresher, PA)–In observance of National Assisted Living Week®, September 8 to 14, Brandywine Senior Living at Dresher Estates will host a series of events with their theme “Country Fair Grand Opening” developed as a special opportunity to bring together residents, families, employees, volunteers and the surrounding community to celebrate “Homemade Happiness.” Enjoy the Friendly Farm Petting Zoo, Duck Races, Kiss the Donkey Contest, Face Painting and a whole lot more. Come One---Come All!!!
“Homemade Happiness” was chosen because it is about celebrating those times, both present and past, that brought us happiness yesterday, fulfills us today, and will inspire the memories of tomorrow. “Homemade Happiness” celebrates the child in all of us. Whether it is a resident’s first try at hopscotch, the high school dance or their first trip to the Jersey Shore, life is about finding happiness as we move on our journey through life. Robin Helzerman, Executive Director at Dresher Estates says, “This weeklong celebration is a demonstration of the commitment assisted living professionals feel when providing care and services to residents in their communities. There’s really nothing like it."

Home Produced Goods – Monday, September 9th at 11:00 AM - In keeping with the ‘country spirit’, a home produced goods presentation including canned demonstration, Blue Ribbon Pie Baking Contest and, of course pie eating contest (somebody’s got to do it!) and a pie party special for all to enjoy.
Hometown Heroes Celebration – Wednesday September 11th at 11:00 AM - Hometown Heroes are ‘saluted’ for their service to our great nation. Entertainment by the Dresher estates Glee Club will delight everyone, followed by a delicious homespun dessert buffet.
Baking Memories Tea Party – Thursday, September 12th at 2:00 PM -Homemade recipes from our residents are featured combined with a wonderful tea party to top it all off. Homemade…hometown…scrumptious!

Homemade Happiness Spa – Friday, September 13th at 9:30 AM - What fun!! A mouth-watering Spa right out of Willy Wanka. Try a natural ‘sugar' scrub, a yogurt and oatmeal deep cleaning facial, creamy citrus moisturizer, warm oil hand treatments. We just hope you don’t leave feeling hungry!
