Doylestown to Host Batman 75th Anniversary Events!

Holy septuagenarians, Batman! The Dark Knight turns 75 this July, and businesses around Doylestown are celebrating with a handful of Batman-themed events. Festivities include a stand-up comedy show, the official Batman Day celebration, a screening of The Dark Knight, and an afternoon of family-themed crafts and fun. See the whole schedule below:

Wed, July 23 – 11am

Cyborg One hosts the official celebration of Batman Day. Stop by the store for a free special edition of Detective Comics #27, a re-imagining of Batman’s 1939 debut designed by Chip Kid and written by Brad Meltzer. While supplies last.

Fri, July 25 – 10pm

The County Theater presents a special screening of Christopher Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT - which is not only the best Batman film, but also might be the best of any big screen comic book adaptation. The event will also feature a special video montage celebrating the past 75 years of Batman on-screen. Tickets are $5 general and free for members. Around 9:30pm the Dark Knight himself will arrive to take pictures with movie-goers!
