Editor's Note: 1. The milestone ("Doylestown 26 miles to Philadl.") embedded in the side of Lenape Hall was originally outside the Ship Tavern. The stone tavern was built in 1774 by Samuel and Joseph Flack and at one time was known as the "Bull's Head" after a sign hanging over the doorway. It was torn down and replaced by Lenape Hall in 1874.
