Weather Service Calls for High Winds

Hold onto your hats - it's going to be breezy.

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind watch for Doylestown and other parts of Bucks County from late tonight through Saturday evening.

The watch is calling for possible gusty to locally damaging winds.

Numerous tree limbs could be knocked down along with weaker trees and power lines, according to the Weather Service. Power outages and difficult driving conditions are possible.

We can expect sustained northwest winds from 24 to 29 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.

The highest winds are expected to occur between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. tomorrow.

Here’s the forecast for the Doylestown area:

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 34. Breezy, with a west wind between 14 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 43. Windy, with a northwest wind between 24 and 29 mph, with gusts as high as 55 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 21. Blustery, with a north wind between 17 and 21 mph, with gusts as high as 43 mph.

Sunday: A slight chance of rain after 4pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 43. Northwest wind between 7 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday Night: A chance of rain before 5am, then a chance of rain and snow. Cloudy, with a low around 32. Calm wind becoming southeast around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
