Readers' Choice: Best 'Staycation'

Where's the best place in the area for a day of family fun that won't break the bank?

Summer is nearly here, and it's time to plan the summer vacation. But with so many people being careful about how they spend their money, maybe an expensive, long-distance vacation isn't in the cards this year.

In this week's Readers' Choice poll, we're asking you to vote for your favorite 'staycation' -- a local place where you can have some fun without getting on a plane and spending loads of cash.

When you want to unwind, do you take the family out for a day at a theme park like Sesame Place? Maybe you're a nature lover and your ideal Saturday is spent tubing down the Delaware River or wandering the trails at Peace Valley Park.

For the history lovers, there's plenty to do in the area, like a visit to the Mercer Museum or to Washington Crossing Historic Park. Perhaps you'll spend the day wine tasting on the Bucks County Wine Trail and visit local wineries like Buckingham Valley. Or maybe you'll catch one of the many festivals or events at Peddler's Village.
