There's also a great #rejectedolympicevents hashtag to follow right now on Twitter. Stuff like "reaching for something far away from the bed without getting out of bed" and "racing to the fridge and back before your tv show comes back on"

I lived, swam & competed during the Mark Spitz era ... and would love to be able to turn back time ... but since that can't be done, cheering on Michael Phelps, Missy Franklin, Matt Grevers and all the other american swimmers that are competing.

My kids could totally medal in the "slip 'n slide." And I would be a shoo-in for gold in the "avoiding unloading the dishwasher" event.
