Planning the Weekend

Craft fairs and more on tap this weekend in and around Doylestown.

It’s the last weekend before Thanksgiving, so let’s make the most of it before we  get busy with decorating and shopping. Here are some options:

 

When/where: Friday and Saturday, 10 am - 9 pm; Sunday 11 am - 3 pm; the James-Lorah House, 132 N. Main St., Doylestown

Why go: Get some early Christmas shopping done and help support ongoing renovations to the historic house where Henry Chapman Mercer was born.

Cost: $1 donation

When/where: Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm; Sunday at 3 pm;

Why go: It's got star-crossed lovers and fairies galore. Plus, two guys named Puck and Bottom. You've gotta love it.

Cost: $10/$7

 

When/Where: Saturday 10 am - 2 pm;

Why go: Bring the kids to meet the Berenstain Bears from 11 am to 1 pm during the church's open house to show off its renovations to the community.

Why go: 15-year-old author Olivia Derro Braccio will be signing The Adventures of Bob and Reggie: Book One, the first in a series of books about two friends and their escapades in their neighborhood and beyond.

Where/when: Saturday at 2 pm (junior & intermediate divisions) and 8 pm (advanced division) at Neshaminy Maple Point Middle School in Middletown Township
