Planning the Weekend

Saturday and Sunday weather should be nice, perfect for getting out and about.

This will not look like a winter weekend, so take advantage of the unseasonably nice weather and get out and do something.

Why go: Folks can sing a song, tell jokes, recite poetry, play music or whatever else strikes their fancy. The only caveat – all material must be rated “E” for everyone.

WINTERFEST

Where/when: New Hope and Lambertville, all weekend long

Why go: Chase the winter blues away with everything from a pancake breakfast to story time for kids to a beef n brew for the adults. Events run all day Saturday and Sunday. Check the schedule for details.

Why go: Experience the music of Handel performed by the Palisades Community Chorus.

Cost: $10; $5 for students and seniors

Where/when: All day Saturday, , Bensalem.

Why go: Hundreds of people will jump in to the frigid Delaware River to benefit the Special Olympics. Come chill out – literally!

Cost: Donations gratefully accepted.

Where/when: Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 8 p.m., , Huntingdon Valley.

Why go: Enchanted April is a “gentle” comedy based on four women’s lives in post-WWII London.
