Memorial 5K Dedicated to Colby Umbrell

It is the 5th annual race in memory of the CB East grad who was killed in Iraq in 2007.

At 9 a.m. on Saturday, runners and walkers will gather at Central Park, with one one purpose: to keep alive the memory of a son of Doylestown taken too soon.

The 5th Annual Colby Umbrell Memorial Walk and 5K starts at Central Park, 425 Wells Road, Doylestown.

The event was created by the Class of 1999 to honor 1 Lt. Colby Umbrell, U.S. Army Ranger and CB East graduate, who was killed in May 2007 while serving in Iraq.

This year's course includes a run over the newly dedicated 1 Lt. Colby Umbrell Bridge along the new Rt. 202 Parkway.
