Historical Society Elects New Trustees, Officers

William Maeglin named Chair of the Board of Trustees.

The Bucks County Historical Society announced new officers and trustees for 2012, earlier this week.

William Maeglin will take over as Chair of the Board of Trustees, according to a press release from the society. He is the Executive Vice President at Univest Bank and Trust Co.

Krista Harper (a partner with Curtin & Heefner, LLP) and Richard Paynton (Jr. President of Dontech Corp) were elected as Vice Chairs. Michelle Pedersen, who is the Sernior Vice President with Monument Bank will fill the treasurer position, while John Augenblick, principal with Rockwood Weath Management, was elected to be the secretary of the historical society.

Former Chair of the Board of Trustees, Brian McLeod, who spearheaded the capital expansion at the Mercer Museum, will continue on the society board as Past President, according to the release.

Gustavo Perea is newly elected to the board, while Michael Raphael and Timothy Katsiff are returning to the board. Trustees elected for a second term include Dr. Sydney Beckett, Joseph Feilmeier, Elizabeth Gemmill, Esq., Richard Paynton, Jr., and Michelle Pedersen. Trustees serve terms of three years and are eligible for a second three year term.

The Bucks County Historical Society is a private non-profit organization that operates the and Fonthill Castle, both located in Doyelstown. The society is governed by a board of 24 men and women who are representative of the community.

Both the Mercer and Fonthill museums are National Historic Landmarks. This year, Fonthill Castle is celebrating its 100th anniversary. The museum is open everyday. For more information visit the museum's website.
