It’s Thursday and it's hot outside. If you’re not headed to the beach or a cluster of graduation parties, Patch has you covered with our favorite ways to stay busy and local this weekend.

One Act Festival

Why Go:  Come out to see new directors-in-the-making and enjoy a very entertaining night at the Barn.

Why Go:  Unique homes and gardens featuring a variety of architectural and landscape styles are showcased during the self-guided walking tour.  Non-profit program of the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce. Rain or shine

Pricing:  $20 per person

Strawberry Festival

Where/When: , 186 E Court St, Doylestown. Sat. 8-2pm

Why Go: Get some mouth watering, home-made strawberry shortcakes and strawberry smoothies, then check out the craft and flea market.

Pricing:  Whatever you want to spend  

Holiday House's Doggie Day of Fun Fundraiser

Where/When:  , 380 N Shady Retreat Rd, Doylestown. Sunday  

Why Go:  This is a family friendly event and all families are encouraged to bring their canine companions to enjoy in the fun!  All proceeds will benefit the United States War Dogs Association. Rain or Shine

Pre-registration is preferred but not required.

Pricing:  Admission is $10 for adults and free for children 12 and under.

Coppellia Performed by Dance Theater of PA

Where/When: Mitchell Performing Arts Center,800 Tomlinson Road, Bryn Athyn. Sat and Sun at 3pm

Why Go:  Dance Theatre of Pennsylvania will perform an encore production of the full-length ballet “Coppelia”
