Garden the Frugal Way - with a Plant Swap

Bring your plants to a swap at Delaware Valley College and go home with new ones.

Looking for a frugal way to spice up your garden?

Look no further than , which will host a plant swap in a few weeks.

Gardeners and plant lovers can visit DelVal to exchange their favorite or most unusual perennials, trees, shrub or groundcovers with other gardeners.

The swap will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m Wednesday, May 18. in the campus ornamental horticulture green house.

Hosted by DelVal’s Henry Schmieder Arboretum, the swap is free for arboretum members and $5 for nonmembers.

Even those who come to the swap without plants will have a chance to go home with some new ones.

The swap is a juried event, so remember that weedy, rampant-growing, or invasive species will not be accepted.

Participants who bring more unusual or choice plants will have greater opportunities to select new plants to take home.
