Fitzpatrick Honors Bucks Service Academy Applicants
Six Central Bucks students were among 27 young people recognized Tuesday in a ceremony at the Bucks County courthouse in Doylestown.
Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick on Tuesday honored local high school students who earned his recommendation to the nation's service academies.
The 27 students from across Fitzpatrick's 8th Congressional District were honored in a ceremony at the Bucks County courthouse in Doylestown.
Included among them were six students from Central Bucks: Jacob Price, of New Britain; Geoffrey Kuhn of Doylestown; Zachary Kane of Doylestown; Christopher Bagnick of Chalfont; Ryan Kelly of Warrington; and Kevin Jongeneel, of Buckingham Township.

Each year, the congressman has the opportunity to nominate a select number of students to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
Students must make it through a competitive application process to earn the recommendation for admission to the nation's service academies. They still must complete the application process and be accepted by the individual academies.
