Car Show, Carnival Among Weekend Events

Here are some ideas for local weekend fun.


DOYLESTOWN CAR SHOW
What: Classic Car Show along the streets of downtown Doylestown
When/where: Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m.
Cost: Free to attend, $15 to pre-register a car, $20 to register the day of the show

CARNIVAL
What: The Midway Volunteer Firefighter’s Carnival kicks off this week in Buckingham. The carnival will feature games, rides, nightly prize drawings, a country store, food, entertainment and more.
When/where: The carnival begins Thursday and will continue Friday and Saturday beginning at 6:30 p.m. It is located at 5110 Route 202, across from Holicong Park in Buckingham.
Cost: Prices for rides vary, raffle tickets are $3 each, two for $5 or five for $10.

BEERS FOR THE CURE
What: M.O.M.'s is holding its third annual Beers for a Cure event to benefit pediatric cancer research. The event benefits the Michael Napoleone Memorial Foundation.
When/where: Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. at M.O.M.'s
Cost: Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door. Pre-purchasing tickets is encouraged. Click here to buy tickets online or stop by M.O.M.'s to buy them in person.

JOG 'N HOG
What: The annual Jog 'n Hog involves running about a mile and a half, eating either a quart or a pint of ice cream and then running back to the starting line.
When/where: Sunday at 8:30 a.m. at Shady Brook Farm, 931 Stony Hill Rd, Yardley.
Cost: $40 for the Whole Hogger and $37 for the Half Hogger. The Jog ‘n Hog is open to everyone age 12 and up. For more information about Jog ‘n Hog visit www.jognhog.com.

NEWTOWN CAR SHOW
What: Newtown Business Association's annual Antique and Classic Auto Show will feature more than 170 classic cars, trucks, Corvettes, street rods, sports cars and muscle cars in all makes and models from 1900 to 1988. 
When/where: Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on State Street
Cost: Free to attend, registration is $25.
