Area Driving Delays for This Week

Drivers will encounter daytime lane restrictions this week, Sept. 19-23, on County Line Road and on several other roads in Bucks and Montgomery counties for construction of the Route 202 Parkway, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said recently.
 
The installation of drainage pipes will reduce County Line Road to a single lane with flaggers between Stump and Upper State roads in New Britain and Montgomery townships on Monday through Friday (Sept. 19-23) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
 
Excavation for storm water drainage and construction of intersection improvements also will reduce Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) to a single lane with flaggers from Stump Road to north of Upper State Road Monday through Friday (Sept. 19-23) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
 
Work at Upper State Road at its intersections with Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) and Bristol Road in New Britain Township will impact travel at both locations. Flaggers will direct a single lane of traffic through work zones Monday through Friday (Sept. 19-23) from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
 
Periodic lane closures also may occur in Upper Gwynedd and Lower Gwynedd townships, Montgomery County for ongoing utility relocation and road widening Monday through Friday (Sept. 19-23) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Route 202 (DeKalb Pike) between Sumneytown Pike and Route 63 (Welsh Road) and on Route 63 (Welsh Road) between Stump Road and Bell Run Boulevard.
 
In Doylestown Township, motorists are reminded that Wells Road remains detoured between Lower State and Turk roads, and Lower State Road remains closed to northbound traffic between Bristol and Almshouse roads for bridge construction.
 
Drivers should anticipate delays and add extra time for travel through the construction areas. All planned activities are contingent on the weather.

PennDOT is investing more than $200 million in state funds to build the nine-mile long Route 202 Parkway in Bucks and Montgomery counties and to improve roads approaching the Parkway’s entrances.
