Area Driving Delays for This Week

Expect delays in the vicinity of Route 202.

Drivers can expect to face traffic restrictions along the Route 202 Corridor in Bucks and Montgomery counties this week, June 20-24, for ongoing roadway and utility construction for the Route 202 Parkway, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said recently.

In Bucks County, drivers on Upper State Road between County Line and Pickertown roads and on Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) between Stump Road and Route 202 (Butler Avenue) will encounter periodic lane closures Monday through Friday, June 20-24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for road widening.
 
Traffic on County Line Road between Upper State and Stump Roads will encounter occasional flagger-directed lane closures and periodic stoppages Monday through Friday, June 20-24, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for equipment crossing and tree clearing.
 
Wells Road in Doylestown Township remains detoured for Parkway construction between Lower State and Turk roads and Detweiler Road is closed permanently between Stump and Upper State roads in Warrington Township.

Lower State Road is closed to northbound traffic between Bristol and Almshouse roads in Doylestown Township for reconstruction of the bridge over Neshaminy Creek.

Drivers on Route 202 (DeKalb Pike) in Upper Gwynedd and Lower Gwynedd townships, Montgomery County, may encounter delays Monday through Friday (June 20-24) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility relocation and widening between Sumneytown Pike and Route 63 (Welsh Road).

Additional lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 63 (Welsh Road) between Stump Road and Bell Run Boulevard on Monday through Friday (June 20-24) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for widening.

Drivers should anticipate delays at each work zone and are advised to add extra time for travel through the construction areas. All planned activities are contingent on the weather.

PennDOT is investing more than $200 million in state funds to build the nine-mile long Route 202 Parkway in Bucks and Montgomery counties and to improve roads approaching the Parkway’s entrances.
