Nice weather, a 5K and, well, my birthday.

1. Weather. Looks sunny and warm. National Weather Service says: Patchy fog before 7am. A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4pm. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 80. South wind between 6 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

2. It's going to be a great morning to be in Doylestown. Line up early along the course for the and cheer on the runners in the annual race. Admire the houses along Linden Avenue, and Golden Living Nursing Home, which entered the Doylestown Business and Community Alliance's Spirited House contest, to show their support for the race.

3. Today is Sierra Club day, honoring the conservation group, founded on this day in 1892. It's also International Jazz Day. Best way to celebrate? On a deck or patio, listening to some cool jazz and enjoying a beverage while admiring the nature around you. Yeah, that's the ticket.

4. Head over to the Mercer Musuem between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. for the . Living historians will introduce visitors to the life and times of the bloodiest war in our country's history. The program is free with mueum admission.
