Rotary Club of Doylestown Seeks Community Grant Proposals, Adult and Student Nominations for Their Annual Four Way Test Awards Breakfast - Awards to be presented April 30 at Doylestown Country Club

The Rotary Club of Doylestown is seeking nominations of adult honorees and essay submissions from local high school students for its annual Four Way Test Breakfast Awards. The community is invited to nominate adult honorees that exemplify the Rotary’s Four Way Test principles in their life, business, community and personal affairs. The Four Way test asks four questions of the things we think, say or do - Is it the Truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

The adult awards will honor area residents from various sectors including for-profit, non-profit, healthcare and education. The high school awards, for students in grades 10 through 12, will honor six students in total - two each from Central Bucks High School East, South and West. Students should complete an application and a 1000-1500 word essay showing how they apply the Rotary’s guiding principles of The Four-Way Test to their life. The students will then be asked to present their essay in a speech contest and the winner will present the speech at the Four Way Test Breakfast. Nominations and essays should be emailed to LindaMcCrillis@gmail.com or sent to Rotary Club of Doylestown, c/o Linda McCrillis, 51 Hillside Ave., Doylestown, PA  18901, before January 30, 2014.

In addition, the Rotary Club of Doylestown is seeking funding proposals from local organizations that serve the Doylestown and Bucks County communities. The club will award organizations up to $3,000 each to help fund capital improvements or new programs.
