IVY HILL EQUESTRIAN CENTER RECEIVES QUALITY OF LIFE GRANT
PERKASIE – The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation has awarded a Quality of Life grant in the amount of $8,011 in the Therapeutic Horseback Riding category to Ivy Hill Therapeutic Equestrian Center, funding the “Ramp and Lift Project” that will aid riders with impaired mobility.
The Ramp and Lift Project will be part of the facility under construction at its new location at 1811 Mill Road in Perkasie, and will enhance riders’ access and participation in their equine and hippotherapy sessions.
“The new ramp will allow us to have more landing space than we currently have, making it easier to manipulate wheelchairs,” said Megan Hance, program director at Ivy Hill.

“The lift will provide us with the ability to provide services to a population that we do not currently serve due to difficulty mounting when more than two people are needed,” said Hance.
“This will provide more access to individuals in our community who can benefit from our services.”
