GIANT launches Pick Up service in New Hope

GIANT Food Stores today announced the launch of its new GIANT Pick Up service in the New Hope community in partnership with leading internet grocer and sister company, Peapod. Shoppers can now order their groceries online through Peapod.com for easy pick up at the GIANT Food Stores located at 6542 E. Logan Square in New Hope. This marks GIANT’s 13th Pick Up location chain wide.

“Our shoppers are so busy, and GIANT Pick Up is another convenient shopping option for them,” said Dave Webisky, New Hope GIANT store manager. “With Pick Up, customers can shop when and how they want from their smartphone or computer and then pick up their groceries at a time that works best for them.”

To take advantage of GIANT Pick Up, shoppers visit Peapod.com or the Peapod app on their smartphone where they enter their zip code. Once there, they can add items to their cart, select a payment method and then choose a convenient one hour pick-up time any day of the week. There is no fee for the service and no minimum purchase required. Manufacturer coupons are accepted and doubled and customers will be prompted to enter at the time of payment. When customers arrive at their designated Pick Up location, an attendant is waiting to put the bags directly into their car.

In addition, shoppers can create personal lists, read nutritional information online, sort products rapidly by price or by nutrition criteria, and take advantage of thousands of weekly specials. GIANT customers can even shop from a list of items they have bought at their local store simply by entering their GIANT BonusCard number online. They can also earn Gas Extra Rewards and A+ School Rewards on their pick-up orders.
