Fred Beans focuses on healthier employees with CB Family YMCA Community Partner Membership
For years, the Fred Beans Family of Dealerships’ employees and management have been working to improve the health and well-being of all 1500 employees on the Doylestown-based company’s rosters.
At the same time, the automotive group has contributed to Central Bucks Family YMCA capital campaigns and sponsored Y initiatives; believing strongly in supporting the nonprofit that devotes itself to the health and wellbeing of the community at large.
Recently, the Y and the company brought it all together and established the Fred Beans Community Partner Membership. This group membership encourages Beans employees and their families who live or work within range of the Central Bucks Family Y to join and participate in the Y’s many outstanding programs.

“This opens a unique opportunity to help our employees lead healthier lives,” says Beth Beans Gilbert, vice president. She and her family have been active members of the Y since February 2005. “We strive to give our employees the best benefits and the most support we can; the Y is helping us do just that.”
The Community Partner Membership offers those who work for Fred Beans all the advantages that any Y member receives, from full facility access to complimentary group exercise classes and child care for adult participants.

Because the Beans membership program has more than 15 participants – over 25, to date – other “added value” benefits, designed specifically for this organization, have been incorporated.
“We are so pleased to be able to make this connection for our employees,” says Gilbert, “and equally gratified that so many are taking advantage of the membership, now that we’ve gotten the ball rolling.”
