Starbucks North Closed Temporarily

A hot water heater malfunction forced the closure Wednesday.

Starbucks North, on Doylestown's Main Street, closed temporarily on Wednesday, to the consternation of many caffeine seekers.

The shop erected a sign to keep cars from driving into the drive-through. But that didn't stop plenty of customers from parking and walking up to the front door, only to learn that the store was closed.

An employee leaving the shop said the store was having problems with a hot water heater and needed to wait for it to be fixed before it could reopen.

Two plumbers' trucks were parked at the shop around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The shop reopened Thursday morning.
