Panera Bread Coming to Doylestown

The St. Louis-based bakery cafe franchise company is advertising for several job openings for a new location to be opened in Doylestown.

The company has listed job openings for night baker, catering coordinator, hourly associate and shift supervisor.

Temporary metal fencing has been erected around the space in the shopping center on North Main Street, but work inside already is well advanced.

Several counters already have been installed, as has Panera's signature tile and warm-toned paneling.

A building permit, issued by Doylestown Township, is posted in the window.

A spokesperson for Panera Bread could not immediately be reached for comment Monday to confirm how many employees the restaurant plans to hire, or when it is scheduled to open.

The company now runs more than 1,500 restaurants in the United States and Ontario, Canada.
