New Peruvian Restaurant Opens Monday in Doylestown

Quinoa, located on N. Easton Rd, is owned and operated by the same family that runs El Tule Mexican & Peruvian Restaurant in Lambertville, N.J.

A new restaurant serving traditional Peruvian and Mexican food will open Monday in Doylestown.

The restaurant, Quinoa, is owned and operated by the same family that runs El Tule Mexican & Peruvian Restaurant in Lambertville, N.J.

“My mother, Carmen Egoavil, is the Peruvian chef and my brother-in-law, Said Anguiano, is the Mexican chef,” explained Jack Egoavil, co-owner and manager.

The dual-personality restaurant will offer a variety of dishes, from Mexican favorites like enchiladas and fajitas, to Peruvian classics like ceviches and tamales.  True to its name, several menu items feature quinoa.

“We want people that come to our restaurant to not only enjoy the food, but to have a cultural experience,” said Egoavil. When patrons come into the restaurant, Egoavil wants them to be “transported to someplace and forget a bit of their busy lives and problems and enjoy a fabulous dinner.”

Egoavil said the Doylestown location will focus more on Peruvian cuisine than its Lamberville counterpart.

The atmosphere is going to be very casual, Egoavil said, adding he wants the restaurant to be warm and welcoming.

Quinoa is located at 762 N Easton Rd, near Leslie’s Pool Supplies.
