Green Industry Conference Coming to DelVal

Tactics for fighting new insects such as will be on the agenda for a professional conference coming to Delaware Valley College next week.

The Southeast PA Green Industry Conference will offer continuing education credits and expertise for local horticulture experts.

Sponsored by Penn State, Delaware Valley College, the Pennsylvania Nursery Landscape Association, and the Professional Grounds Management Society, the conference will be Jan. 5 at .

Speakers will touch on a number of hot topics in horticulture, including the public's burgeoning interest in growing food.

Other topics include discussions of invasive pests with Greg Hoover, of Penn State, the use of social media in horticulture and combating invasive plant species.
