Lou Pompilio and Art D'Angelo will entertain the crowd at the 20th annual Gourmet Getaway on March 21.
The annual event is a fundraiser for the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Committee.
Billed as a night of "Cuisine for a Cause," the event raises money for the committee's scholarship program, which helps women who have overcome substantial challenges and wish to re-enter the workforce by educating themselves.
Pompilio and D’Angelo will perform a variety of Jazz, Blues, Spanish, and Swing music for the event. Both Pompilio and D’Angelo have been musicians for more than 50 years and are accomplished guitarists and vocalists, according to a statement from organizers.
The event will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Spring Mill Manor, 171 Jacksonville Road, Ivyland, Pa.
Tickets are $45 and allow attendees to sample food and drink from 25 Bucks County caterers, restaurants and wineries. The event also will feature raffles, silent auctions and live music.
All procceeds go to the scholarship fund, which has helped more than 100 Bucks County women in need since its beginning in 1983. Over the 20 years since then, the scholarships have totalled $270,660, oney that helped pay for education and training for women to enter or move ahead in the work force.
