Imagine the thrill of being a kid in a toy store and having your pick of anything on the shelf?
For one area girl, that amazing dream became a reality on Saturday.
Harmony Rose Brehm enjoyed a 60-second shopping spree at Doylestown’s Busy Bee Toys.
Harmony’s parents, William and Christy Jefferson Brehm of Wycombe, won the shopping spree at a recent fundraiser for Judy Abbate, a local woman who is fighting a rare form of cancer.
Harmony, who is almost one, had some help picking toys during her shopping spree. Peter Chiaravallo, a Doylestown resident who takes piano lessons from Harmony’s mother, was selected to as the surrogate runner.
According to information provided by the Merchants of Doylestown, Peter returned to the starting line with a large bag of wooden toys, puzzles and a soft plush for Harmony. Click here to see a video of the shopping spree.
Nerice Kendter, the owner of Busy Bee Toys, said she was “thrilled” to participate in the event to support Drew and Judy Abbate’s fundraiser.
