2nd Annual New Hope Fantasy Renaissance Faire
Step back in time as New Hope, PA is transformed into a medieval fantasy for one celebrated weekend, Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17, 2011. The New Hope Fantasy Renaissance Faire will take place on Mechanic Street in the heart of New Hope starting at 11:00 am. Sponsored by the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce, the free event will be even bigger than last year.
Event organizer, Michael McManus, proprietor of Medieval Gallery/Against the Grain commented, “The success from last year’s first Renaissance Faire was outstanding. This year we’ve added some new surprises including fire dancers and more merchants. Plus all ages will enjoy the musicians and daredevil performances.”
Jugglers, dancers, fire breathers, sword fighting, medieval blacksmithing, belly dancing, pirates, wenches, storytellers, craftsmen, costumed actors, a medieval drag show along with food & wine are the many activities planned for the Fantasy Renaissance Faire. The event is free and will take place rain or shine.
