Doylestown Prepares for Live TV Shoot

Doylestown will be featured on live television Wednesday from 7 to 10 a.m. as part of the Good Day Philadelphia show's 'Celebrate Your Town' series. There are many activities and specials planned.

Doylestown merchants and businesses are gearing up to celebrate Doylestown Wednesday—along with the rest of the region.

That's because Doylestown will be featured on live television from 7 to 10 a.m. as part of the Good Day Philadelphia show’s "Celebrate Your Town" series.

Fox 29 will be shooting a live television segment downtown at State and Main streets. And Doylestown businesses are giving people many reasons to come to town as a show of support.

According to Derrick Morgan, of the Merchants of Doylestown, the following activities are planned for Wednesday morning (more specific details will be available early next week, he noted.)

  • Outdoor Zumba Class
  • Musical performances
  • Oil paintings
  • Massages
  • Characters in costume
  • Food vendors with a wide variety of dishes
  • Children's illustrations
  • Outdoor photo booth

“We are asking every business in town to invite their customers to join us that morning, so we can really celebrate Doylestown with Fox 29,” Morgan told Patch earlier this week. “We plan to have many businesses set up with tables along State Street so people can sample all that Doylestown has to offer.”

The morning will be broken up into segments highlighting arts, culture, dining, entertainment and shopping offered in downtown Doylestown, Morgan explained.
