The merchants of downtown Doylestown are sponsoring a gingerbread house contest this holiday season, and it's open to everyone.
Submissions must be built entirely of edible materials - think gingerbread, icing, gumdrops, licorice, peppermints and more.

Cash prizes will be awarded to winners in each category, including Youth (12 and under), Teen (13-19) and Adult.
Here are the contest dates and deadlines:
- Deadline to submit entry forms: Friday, Nov. 11th
- Date to deliver houses: Wednesday, Nov. 30th
- All entries on display from Friday, Dec. 2nd to Saturday, Dec. 17th
- Date to pick up houses: Sunday, Dec. 18th
- Winners announced: Week of Dec. 19th
