Arts Festival Kick Off Party to Feature Discounts, Freebies

Local businesses are pumped up for the annual Doylestown Arts Festival and they plan to show it with a Kick Off Party Friday evening.

Stores will have extended hours to 9 p.m. and later, as well as special discounts, free samples and more.

Here’s a look at what some local businesses are offering as they prepare to welcome thousands into town for the 22nd annual Arts Festival.

• The Bucks County Project Gallery is hosting a Wine and Cheese Artist Reception from 6 to 9 p.m., sponsored by Streamline 6 Communications, open to the public
• The Doylestown Bookshop is hosting author Jonathan Maberry and is offering 20 percent off all CB Summer Reading Titles
• Chapman Gallery is hosting a Meet the Artist event featuring Dean F. Thomas  
• Gross’s Gourmet Foods is taking 10 percent off all food items
• Booktender’s Secret Garden is having a porch sale, as well as in-store discounts
• Monkey’s Uncle will have complimentary beer and wine
• Lilies of the Field is offering complimentary wine and cookies
