Artisan Sandwich Shop Coming to 'Bobby Simone's Alley'

Down the alley, off E. State in Doylestown, there's a glimpse of sandwiches to come at Bobby Simone's.

You may recall, that the Market Way off E. State has more informally become Bobby Simone's alley, with some renovations that have been underway for about a year.

Part of Bobby Simone's Restaurant at 52 E. State has a sign in the window promising an artisan sandwich shop to come. Dave Porter, general manager for the Bobby Simone properties, said the shop should open by mid-summer.

"We're going to open the front window so people can order from outside," Porter said.

The plans include landscaping the alleyway to allow for al fresco dining. With this, Simone's will cover every aspect of dining in one short walk—sandwiches on one end, fine dinning at Bobby Simone's on the other and right across the way, Bobby's Place, a casual restaurant that also offers live music ... it opened about 3 months ago.
