Applebee's Serving Free Meals to Veterans on Monday

Veterans and active duty service members will get a free meal at Applebee’s on Veterans Day, which is Monday.

This is the fifth year Applebee’s has offered the free meals as a thank you to military members.

“Since Applebee’s first began thanking the military with a free meal, restaurants have served approximately four million veterans and active duty military members on their day of remembrance and respect,” according to information from Applebee’s.

“For the fifth straight year, Applebee’s is proud to say thank you to our veterans and active duty military on Veterans Day,” said Jeff Warden, President and CEO of The Rose Group, which owns and operates 58 Applebee’s restaurants. 

“Each year, service members gather in our restaurants to share stories, meet up with old friends and make new ones. It’s our favorite day of the year and it’s an honor to serve the people who make this a special tradition for us,” Warden said.

Applebee’s is offering a Veterans Day menu that includes:

• 7 oz. house sirloin
• Bacon cheddar cheeseburger
• Three-cheese chicken and sundried tomato penne
• Fiesta lime chicken
• Double crunch shrimp
• Chicken tenders platter
• Oriental chicken salad 

Traditional sides are included with free entrees. Appetizers, extras, beverages, desserts and gratuity are not included.

Guests will need to provide proof of service, which includes U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, photograph in uniform or wearing uniform, DD214, Citation or Commendation.

Applebee’s Thank You Meals will be offered during normal business hours on Monday, Nov. 11. Applebee’s, located at 1745 S Easton Rd. in Doylestown, is open 11 a.m. to midnight on Mondays.
