Murder Suspect Returns to Bucks

Dale Wakefield was arraigned Thursday and is being held in Bucks County prison without bail.

Dale Wakefield, the man charged with a fatal stabbing in Doylestown Borough, was transported to Bucks County from Baltimore Thursday, according to Bucks County First Assistant District Attorney Michelle Henry.

He was arraigned before District Court Judge Mark Douple in Doylestown. He is facing first degree murder charges in connection with the July 3 incident.

Wakefield is being held in Bucks County prison without bail and faces a life sentence or the death penalty if convicted, www.phillyburbs.com reported.

Wakefield was transported from Baltimore by Bucks County Sheriffs, Henry said. 

Wakefield was reportedly out celebrating his 21st birthday before allegedly attacking George Mohr, who passed away three days later at Temple University Hospital.

Wakefield reportedly fled to Baltimore after the attack.  

Mohr, 71, was found by a passing motorist, who called Borough Police to report that a struck pedestrian was lying in the street. When police arrived, they found the injured man and discovered the stab wounds.
