American Legion Post 210 Could Use Your Help
There are several fundraisers in the near future and you may want to consider one, some or all of them. The Legion hall is located at 315 North Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
The Legion hall is also in need of repair. It would be greatly appreciated if local contractors could assist this organization with minor plumbing, roofing, and electrical repairs. One major repair needed is in the parking lot. There is a need for repairing holes and repaving of many areas of the lot. If any paving contractors could donate their excess materials at the end of their day, it would be greatly appreciated. Please call the Legion at 215-345-4170. These Veterans were there for you, it would be a great help for our local contractors to come to their aid in a time of real need.

The semi-annual Pancake Breakfast will be held on Sunday September 29th, 2013 from 7:30 AM until Noon It will be held at the American Legion Post Home at 315 North Street in Doylestown, PA 18901.
Pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, orange juice, milk, coffee and tea will be served.

Cost is $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for children 4-12 years of age. Please come and help support this great Veterans organization.
The local American Legion Post 210 was established in 1919 and is active in community activities. The post is named after a Doylestown resident who perished on the battlefield in France during World War I. The organization promotes civic duty, patriotism and citizenship.
At one time, the Post hosted carnivals for the residents of Doylestown from the 1940s until the 1970s. It also was the place to be with its Saturday dances, turkey dinners at Thanksgiving and occasional pancake breakfasts.The Legion also sponsors scholarships for local high schools. The post also is a big part of the annual Doylestown Memorial parade and hosts a luncheon each year after the parade on its grounds. The Post also collects old worn and torn flags throughout the year and hosts a flag retirement ceremony to properly dispose of the flags. There is a box outside of the building to bring your flags. Like all of the Veterans organizations in the area, the community is very important to them and the many things done by these organizations are sometimes overlooked. So, if you see a veteran sitting in the cold selling raffle tickets or helping children at an Easter egg hunt or other activity, feel free to say thank you or help financially in some way to keep this great organization going.
