The World Series between the Red Sox and the Cardinals may be underway but area baseball fans have something else to celebrate next week.
Three local business are planning a party Tuesday to celebrate the five-year anniversary of the Phillies winning the World Series.
The event begins at 7 pm at Maxwell's on Main and is also sponsored by Monkey’s Uncle and the Doylestown Bookshop. The celebration is being held on the anniversary of the Phillies game five win in 2008.
Fans can relive that special night by watching the second half of game five against the Tampa Bay Rays. There will be trivia, ball park food and prizes.
Tickets to the event are $5 and must be purchased in advance at Monkey's Uncle, 21 E. State Street.
All of ticket sales will go directly to Colors of Hope, which benefits St. Jude's Children's Cancer Research Hospital.
