A new exhibit profiling Grace Kelly that opened this week in Doylestown has already received significant national attention.
"From Philadelphia to Monaco: Grace Kelly — Beyond the Icon," opened Monday at the James A. Michener Art Museum. The exhibit, which is on display until Jan. 26, was the focus of a piece on the Today Show Monday morning.
“This exhibition traces the unique path Grace Kelly took from Philadelphia to Monaco, inviting viewers to discover the life of Grace Kelly (1929-1982) beyond the fairy tale,” a description on the Michener Museum website says.
The exhibit includes personal objects, including letters, photographs, awards, couture fashion and more, as well as film clips, playbills, home movies and souvenirs from her acting career.
The James A. Michener Art Museum is located at 138 South Pine St., Doylestown. The exhibit will be open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday noon to 5 p.m. and Thursday evenings until 8 p.m.
The museum is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. For more information, visit www.MichenerArtMuseum.org or call 215-340-9800.
