Is DMX Coming to New Hope?

Rapper DMX is coming to New Hope. To a brewpub no less.

The hardcore rapper, who performed in 2011 at the BET Hip Hop Awards, is scheduled to perform at Triumph Brewing Company in New Hope on July 6 at 10 p.m. Tickets are $51.50 plus fees.

DMX is the only artist in the history of the Billboard Charts to have his first five albums debut at number one on the Billboard Charts, according to information on Triumph's ticket page.

The restaurant and bar announced on Facebook late Tuesday night that the famous rapper would be playing there. The announcement garnered more than 150 shares and dozens of comments, many from people who wondered if it was a joke.

"No, this is not a joke.....X gonna give it to ya!," the restaurant responded on Facebook.

The reactions on the social media site were mixed, with some expressing excitement. "I'M SO THERE!!! count me in.. but I do agree with everyone else, that's such a shocker for Triumph to pull something like that," one user wrote.

Others seemed perplexed.

"Bring your family for locally farmed food, relaxing environment, and hard core rap," one user wrote.
